Product Information
Japanese shoji sliding doors
Shoji panels made from solid beech wood, made to measure and to order. A light and attractive way to divide a space no building work, to divide spaces, create fronts for built-in wardrobes or enclose a dressing room, with an aesthetic that draws on traditional Japanese architecture and fits in very well with contemporary interior design.
Designs are available with a traditional chequered pattern or horizontal stripes. The covering can be made from stain-resistant cotton fabric (easily replaceable) or rice paper with an inner PVC layer for maximum light transmission and tear resistance.
Installation
The sliding mechanism runs on wooden or aluminium rails: ceiling-mounted with an aluminium rail to avoid guides in the walkway, or a traditional wooden frame with floor and ceiling rails and no metal fittings, or integrated into the structure of the unit for built-in wardrobes and walk-in wardrobes.
